Original abstract

Introduction Regional public brands serve as a critical strategic tool for enhancing regional competitiveness through multi-stakeholder co-creation. However, the dynamic evolutionary mechanisms underlying their brand value remain fragmented and underdeveloped. Methods Drawing on a systematic literature review of 57 high-quality studies, this study integrates brand value chain and brand pyramid theories to systematically delineate the evolutionary pathways of regional public brand value. Results We propose an integrated conceptual framework that delineates a complete closed-loop process: commencing with multi-stakeholder inputs, proceeding through regional stakeholder mindset mediation and market performance realization, and ultimately generating regional public brand value across economic, social, and ecological dimensions, accompanied by continuous feedback and iteration. Discussion This systematic literature review establishes a comprehensive and replicable model, thereby advancing the understanding of how regional public brand value is created, delivered, realized, and iteratively enhanced through multi-stakeholder collaboration.
