Original abstract

In the practice of enhancing the international communicative influence of Chinese civilization in the digital era, the impetus for advancing from ‘language learning’ to ‘cultural identification’ among target audiences stems from the systemic evolution of the communication practice itself. This evolution is first manifested in the shift of the communicator's role from a unidirectional knowledge transmitter to an actively engaging, interpreting, and negotiating ‘cultural node’. Correspondingly, communication strategies have shifted from systematic information transmission to empathetic interactions rooted in emotional resonance and narrative expression, thereby bridging cultural divides and fostering a sense of value recognition for Chinese culture. More importantly, the field on which communication relies has undergone structural changes, with online virtual communities and offline immersive situations permeating each other, jointly constructing a ‘fusion field’ of virtual and real interweaving and continuous interaction. This transformation framework, centered on the triad of ‘cultural node—empathic strategy—convergent field’, not only elucidates the internal logic of Chinese civilization's dissemination mechanism at the theoretical level, but also provides an actionable pathway for international Chinese education in methodological terms, offering significant referential value for advancing civilizational dialogue and deepening cultural identity.
